Since 2003, IP Communications, Inc. has been providing dependable voice and data solutions locally for businesses in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. We deliver the most updated and state-of-the-art communications systems and data networking applications available. In addition, IPC can supply your company’s telco trunking, data circuits, video surveillance, and indoor/outdoor network cable installation.
What Sets Us Apart from Our Competition?
Our local technicians are available to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 52 weeks a year. We come to your site, install all necessary equipment, and then train your users to use the system. We can also train an administrator to make name and button changes. Full hosted customers are not charged additional fees for phone or onsite support.
We will not deliver an off-the-shelf, cookie-cutter VoIP application. Each application is customized and flexible to meet your company’s specific needs. If a problem arises that we cannot resolve remotely, we will send a technician to your site.

SIP Trunking
IPC provides reliable Primary Rate Interface (PRI) trunking or Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) native trunking. We incorporate multiple redundant wired and wireless high-speed Internet connections to ensure maximum redundancy and voice quality. IPC also offers full E-911 services, showing the 911 NOC agent where the 911 call originated. If the facility losses power, an auto-attendant fails over to the cloud to allow the call to be routed to offsite voicemail and/or any cell phone associated with the desk phone that is out of service.
PBX Migration
Depending on your business requirements, IPC can provide VoIP devices that connect to your existing PBX equipment. We offer built-in redundancy and auto-attendant failover to the cloud to ensure that even without local power the backup offsite auto-attendant will answer and transfer calls.
IPC can provide a migration path to a full VoIP premise system running locally on an appliance or virtually on Hyper-V or VMware, with no hardware other than phones. Customers can also move to hosted phones or a combination of hosted VoIP and Microsoft Teams® desk phones. Using a staged approach, IPC can move in a way that addresses your needs while taking full advantage of the hardware you already own.
Microsoft Teams® Integration
Microsoft Teams phone systems can be integrated with VoIP PBX systems as well as with standalone Teams PBX systems through the Section Border Controller built into the trunking interface. A combination of hosted VoIP and Teams desk phones and softphones allows your business to provide advanced VoIP Teams services to some users while providing softphone access to users that do not need Teams phones.
Hosted VoIP Phones
Our hosted Yealink® and PolycomTM phones run on a fully redundant Tear 1 VoIP network. IPC can incorporate multiple redundant wired and wireless high-speed Internet connections to ensure maximum redundancy and voice quality. We can also provide full E-911 services, showing the 911 NOC agent where the 911 call originated. If the facility losses power, an auto-attendant fails over to the cloud enabling the call to be routed to offsite voicemail and/or cell phones associated with the desk phone that is out of service. Using SD-WAN, IPC can provide multiple high-speed Internet connections, maximizing efficiency and reliability. With our system, Microsoft Teams phone systems can be fully integrated with our hosted phones, enabling you to provide Microsoft Teams capabilities only to those users who need them.
Call Center
IPC can provide both on premise and hosted call center capabilities, including voice, email, and fax queuing with estimated wait time, queue, and Auto Callback. We can also route calls to specific ACD skill groups by language, area of the country, or where the call originated. IPC can record the audio and computer screen of the agent taking the call, enabling a supervisor to observe the agent’s actions as they help the customer—ideal as a training aid.
If key words are spoken, IPC can flag the call, and then send call details to a supervisor. The software can provide scheduling information, such as the number of agents needed at specific times or days based on historical data gathered.
Agents can work in the office or from home. The system retains all detail on voice call, email, fax, and live chat details. In addition, the system also provides proper routing to ensure maximum efficiency. Reports can be generated showing how many calls were received, the maximum wait time, drop off callers, and averages. The software also provides fax, email, and chat statistics. Multimedia customers can be connected to specific agents or all agents can receive any type of contact.
POTS Lines and Fax
IPC offers Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) converted POTS lines to companies that do not want to change their existing Key or PBX system. SIP converted POTS lines work in a traditional telephone line hunt group. However, the calls are typically clearer than analog POTS and they failover to a second auto-attendant in the cloud. During a disaster, your company will still have calls transferred to offsite voicemail boxes and/or cell phones.
Our fax is HIPPA compliant. Additionally, it does not support the T-38 SIP Fax standard that can be affected by jitter and packet loss due to the inability to resend packets during a live fax session. Our fax goes to a server, and then it is sent as data to a local buffer unit. After all packets are received (even if resent), the buffer unit transmits to the local machine, thereby allowing for faxes with hundreds of pages. We also offer fully hosted fax. IPC can save customers a substantial amount of money while increasing flexibility, trunk reliability, as well as providing timely local support.
Cabling and Paging
IPC provides low voltage Cat-6, Cat-6A and fiber indoor and outdoor cabling installations. We also offer full building overhead paging system solutions.
Mass Notification
IPC supports emergency and non-emergency situations. By dialing a code or opening the application and choosing an alert, the system can send various types of alerts as well as with instructions detailing the next steps to take. The system can issue prerecorded emergency and timed event messages to designated areas of a building or campus. IPC can activate strobes and send mass voice messages, text messages, and mobile alerts to the phones of outside users. Except for overhead paging, the system allows all alert recipients to respond to notifications, letting the organization know who has received the alert message.
Medical and Shared Phones
IPC provides phones for medical professionals and phones used in shared areas. The phone’s plastic surfaces are coated with BioCote®, an antimicrobial technology designed to eliminate the negative effects of microbes on protected surfaces.
In addition, the phone cord is hard-wired to the handset to eliminate the jack at the receptacle.
